We Made It! The Grubby Tourists Take on Sao Paulo.

We arrive in Sao Paulo. Exhausted and grungy. Our hotel rooms are not ready so we take a tour of the city.

Leon tries to remember "chicken" in Brazilian Portuguese so he can place his order. I help out by acting like a chicken, to the great amusement of the clerk.

First experience using a public toilet. We are instructed to throw the toilet paper in the wastebasket and not the down the drain.

I'm struck by the presence of barbed wire everywhere. It's sobering to see.
